iOS5 … There were over 200 new features added to the iPhone in iOS5 here are the top 5 changes 

1. Notifications - This is integrated everywhere! Apple got rid of those annoying pop ups when you receive a message. You can now get notifications from Facebook, Twitter, Mail, Messages and it even has a weather widget on a swipe down screen. On the lock screen you can swipe any notification and it will take you to that specific app. 

2. Camera App - Many changes: including Using the Volume + Button to take a picture, and a Camara Icon on the Lock Screen (Double Tap the home button while the phone is locked)

3. iMessage - A messaging service for all iOS5 users,  You can send unlimited text or WiFi or 3G. You can see when people are typing and resume a conversation on another device. 

4. Photo App - Crop, rotate, enhance, and remove red eye without leaving the app. With iCloud you can push your photos to any of your Apple devices.

5. No PC + WiFi Snyc = No more cords, so if you never back up your phone to a computer or borrow one to upgrade that will not be needed anymore.
